My name is Sara and I'm the counsellor at the Brighton Practice. I firmly believe that we can all benefit from counselling or psychotherapy from time to time. Maybe to understand some deep rooted issues we've never had time to grapple with. Maybe to explore loss, the end of a relationship or something that's provoked anxiety or depression. Maybe because we want to grow and become more fully engaged with the people and world around us. Whatever the reason I'm here to help.
I am a fully qualified, registered counsellor and therapist. I am also a qualified psychologist. I believe that counselling should be as accessible as getting a haircut and want to take the mystery out of seeing a therapist. With me you'll find an open, warm welcome, an unconditional listening ear and a calm space to explore your thoughts and feelings. No judgement, no expectations, no pressure.
I promise to be there for you every step of the way. My goal is to help you look at your fears, acknowledge your loss or witness your sadness. I will help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to a place where you understand yourself and your relationships.

For some people, in person counselling feels more comfortable, especially if finding a confidential space to talk is difficult. For others the convenience of an online session provides a more flexible and time saving answer. It's up to you to decide. I COVID test twice a week and am fully vaccinated.
